Dear All, just an update.
Eventually I got in touch with the top management of the AD in early August.
He agreed to investigate the issue after receiving my watch for a detail examination.
I brought the watch back to one of their stores in Germany during a business trip in September.
Eventually he confirmed the damage was due to the use of improper tools, but he could not find evidence that it was done by their staff.
However, he decided to believe my description and kindly agreed to replace the damaged parts at their expense.
The watch has been returned to my wrist and I am satisfied with the condition of the watch.
Just in time to wear this beauty while attending a concert at my daughter's school in last weekend.
