Rolex

It's been a decade or more since I've owned a Rolex. Over that time I've focused mostly on AP, but over the past couple of years I've had the unmistakable urge to branch out to other brands, especially Rolex. So on Tuesday I had the pleasure of meeting up...

I was in Taipei about three weeks ago and put my name on the wait list for the 2016 Daytona. The AD was very frank and told me until they satisfied all their VVIPs, I will be lucky to get my hand on one three years from now. Nonetheless, congrats on acqui...

A classic which will be sought after in a few years once the new models saturate the market. AP to Rolex is quite a move, especially when the Daytona doesn\'t carry a date complication.... A beauty, nonetheless!

Although the date display is functional, it invariably chops up the dial and/or throws the dial out of balance. I'm fine with no date on the Daytona.

You made a great decision in acquiring this watch. Plus you probably suspected I would have had to buy it if you passed, so thanks for saving me ;-) I will need to see the new black dial / black ceramic bezel in person to be convinced it is nicer than the... 

. . . but at least you didn't have to suffer next to a Wolvie. Go Green!
