Rolex

Black. White is usually preferred presumably because most “professional” (sports) Rolex have a black dial, so white is “different”.

Same with the Explorer ll.  However, unless you have very sharp eyes, the hands on any Daytona are hard to see at first glance (which for me detracts a lot of interest from wearing a Daytona).  That said, I find the black dial Daytona a bit easier for reading the time; which is why I gave my son-in-law my steel bezel white dial Daytona and kept the black.  By the way, I like the steel bezel Daytona much better than the ceramic one.  I hope this helps.
