Black if one watch only, white otherwise
If one aspire to declutter and reduce the collection towards one/handful of watches only, would take black as it is more « universal »
If the question is to be answered into the context of a larger collection, would tend to go white for its uniqueness, difference, great readility of the fat, orange hands …
Also for me, i associate the modern ExpII with white … and the vintage one with the black dial

No, it’s definitely the black, but the white would look good in certain circumstances. I think I need both 🤷🏼♂️
?? My submariner and Bell & Ross
are both black dialed so I would probably opt for the white.
Very simple: black at the top half and white bottom half.
It would work as a day and night indicator for home time. And the bezel shows stil what time it is.
The white. Just looks more fun to wear. ;)
But I honestly like them both. The blackI would say for more business.
The challenge is that they both look perfect on your wrist.
I think I like the black when you have it on a strap of some sort, and then the white on its bracelet. But overall, the orange really pops against the black dial, and the bezel also contrasts better against the black dial. So, most reasoning points to bla...

For me it’s the white for this version. I just really like the way it works with the orange hand. Although I may be influenced by the fact that most of my watches have black dials, so white would be a fresh change to complement my current watches…..

Interestingly one of my favourite vintage Rolexes is the 1655. Now reflecting on Miles’ earlier post I also wonder what a Black Bay Pro on a white dial would look like 🤔
