Rolex

I’m not that active over on this forum in terms of posting, but that is not to say Rolex has not been (or is not) a large part of my collecting. The Day Date has always been a big attraction for me. Size is perfect at 36mm, and wrist presence is aided by ...  

I guess these dials have less opportunity to age in the way typically associated with old Rolex.

I’ve thought of grabbing a Buckley DJ to make a nice pair. And the white dial might be my favourite.

The same dial I’ve seen on a Date Just too, I’m almost certain. And this dial I’ve seen on YG Presidents too. In fact, I think there was one here at some point.

But, because of the smaller size I also think it’s an easier one to wear. I’ve tried the modern 40mm DD, too much gold for me to be easily worn.

...my wife's uncle wears one. He's had it for decades and it's got a patina I can't explain. Yellow gold...the thing just glows. 36mm and classy AF as the kids say.
