A very nice Rolex 5513 Circled indices, L Series from 1988.

The last production year of the 5513. The 5513 is not my favorite, in this circled indices configuration, but I must say that THAT one, with its warm patina and impeccable case, is just a marvel. 


Judge by yourself!

Rolex really tried to create more differences between the GMT and Su-line in the last couple of years

by introducing the Jubilee to the professional line and with the "only two colored bezel" policy for the GMT. 2020 is gonna be the year of the Submariner, so its gonna be really interesting to see if they are creating even more differences - this time by ...

They started with the DD, next year Datejust, the next year GMT, .... Sub has to be the next logical step. We will see. Btw:Comparing to, say, Omega, Rolex never cared about their birthdays.

First was a series L, second a series R, last was a series 9,XXX. I foolishly let go of the last one, which had an impeccable case and a tritium patina very similar to the one you have posted. Oh well, let bygones be bygones. I still have a terrific 5512 ...
