A Rolex you really regret letting go - 6263 Daytona for me
I think this might be a painful thread.... Over the years, sometimes by mistake and sometimes as part of a trade, we let some watches go. I remember letting this 6263 Daytona go as part of a trade for a 1665 Patent Pending. I never regretted getting the 1665, but in retrospect I do wish I had hung on to the Daytona. What Rolex have you let go and now regret? If Miranda is watching.....you are excused from this thread as I am not that cruel!
For the eagle-eyed, that is not a double printing of the T SWISS T at the bottom, just a quirk of the reflection of the scan!!

......I regret many, but the 6263 is a particular regret as it came from the original owns and had its original bill of sale etc. I also think the red DAYTONA is a special Dayto.
there are so many 6263 around .....
not really hard to replace .. even if you want one with " everything " and in extramint conditions ... or even if you search the rarest combo ( PN dial with RCO printings ) .. the only 6263 extremely hard to replace would be the one with Oman crest ( and ...
and about me ....
the only watch I regret ( altough has never been mine ) it's the f.. ing " desert " ( or " black " ) submariner ..... I only had it in my hands for a couple of hours but was love at first sight ...

It just did not fit my theme. At first I wanted one of each range sub, explorer, chrono etc. but then I refined my approach to go vertical within the models so 5512 has several variations so I followed the vertical approach. Bill

Well, there is always an exception to the rule....
If it really was the ONE and the only possible way to get that one would be to let go of something else.... I guess it would be a case by case decision. Depending on what the one would be and what the something else would be.... Best, my mind game playing...
