. . . my recent Day-Date story.
While Uncle George was visiting from overseas last month, his '77 ref 1803, yellow gold on bracelet, went 'south'. As the watch guy in the family, I took it to my watchmaker, who diagnosed a faulty barrel arbor, and had it repaired within a week. When I handed it back to the family patriarch, I asked how often he wore it, expecting an answer of 'occasionally'. Imagine my surprise at his reply:
"Other than when it's been in for service, and the ten days I was in the hospital last year, it's been on my wrist every day since I got it in October of '77."
That's durability.

That glossy black dial has an incredible depth and the smooth bezel change the whole appearance! The bracelet is very special and in fantastic condition! Enjoy it in good health!
