Note that “beater” and “value retention” don’t necessarily work together. I think for the 16520 if relatively clean now but worn daily as a beater over time will impact value of course. But it’s still my choice!
i would go for the 16520 as well. now if he can get the daytona now in steel, i think that will also hold its value in the long run. i would prefer stainless models in rolex over WG
