Submariner - Date or no date
I'm looking at buying my first Submariner (plain steel one, black dial), from the early-mid 00s, but I'm torn between date or no date. I think I prefer it without the date, but was wondering if one if definitely better to buy than the other? Also the no date one I have seen doesn't have the 'superlative chronometer officially certified' bit on the dial. Is that a major issue or not?
I would appreciate any comment on this to help me decide.

can't go wrong

either watch you get, date or ND, they are both great. I ended up buying both in the end. Only the newest ND subs have the CSOC writing on the dial. Some prefer without as it makes for a cleaner look.
