But it s really underrated ,you csn swim,steambath,,sauna,hottube if you want w/o any problem .Rolex oyster case and oem gaskets lasts at least 8-10 years(sometimes even more).
Not sure how long the gaskets hold up, but most manufacturers recommend changing them every 5 years or so. I heard the seals and gaskets degrade with heat/soap/possibly UV/chlorine etc
You want to get all those pool chemicals out of the watch after swimming. Chlorine has the possibility to chemically react with certain alloys in the metal, so don't be surprised if there's a slight patina. Definitely get all the salt water out, as it can...
