Good news about restarting with film... I happened to check out my local camera shop and found that they were not-open-but-open. Non-essential shops are still requested to remain closed here in Tokyo but my little mom & pop shop is half open. Only one of two shutters is up, the lights are dimmed, and they only do printing & development. Lab work is slow due to the recent holidays and a back-log at the lab... but they do accept film...
In order to support the small family business I will restart my film work in the next couple of days with one week turn around time on development... Good News...
Note: The lock down has been lifted here in Japan except for a couple of prefectures including Tokyo. Even if lifted I will remain in self isolation... the pressure to resume business is understandable, but risk wise it seems to be premature... just my opinion.

Thanks Michael...

Hiroshima is a beautiful city. I've been there only once many years ago, but I still have very strong memories of the A-Dome. Thank you for bringing the memories back! Daniel
That last photo was taken at low tide...

I made the mistake of walking down the steps to the river edge... the steps are normally underwater and extremely slippery as I discovered ; ) My memories include a little misadventure along the Motoyasu River... Casey

...particularly the last one with the A Dome surrounded by the modern buildings. I think it shows, if I’m not being too sentimental and considering the current crisis, that however grave the situation, people carry on and rebuild and life goes on. Thanks ...

the only thing I would consider doing differently is check the tide schedule to shoot at high tide and possibly get stable reflections. Casey

I was traveling with the Leica MP (film) and 50mm / 28mm / 15mm for the b&w… Canon 5D Mk II with 35mm / 85mm. the upper (number 3) was MP & 50mm while the color reflection (number 4) was 5D & 85mm so there was a mismatch in focal lengths... I never found ...

I love the second one — the individual and the umbrella to the right of the frame stand out, yet blend in perfectly.
Thank you orahu...
