I am really liking the Monochrom
as a lot of my shooting nowadays I prefer shooting in black and white. There is a kind of freedom I find ironically working with the Q2 monochrom as it removes a lot of considerations out of the equation - do I shoot in color? Do I use a 35mm, 50mm ? And just allows focus on the subject and assessment in the play of pure light and shadows. It is definitely not a camera for everyone nor does it do everything - fast action 30 frames per second, telephoto photography etc. But within the kind of photography I often do as a single walk around camera to capture the environment, mood, emotion of life around me, the monochrom does it extremely well.
