Sticking date on my 5127R
Sadly my 5127R has developed the sticking date issue. The watch just turned 2 years (warranty expired 2 months ago since I purchased it from an AD). However, I have worn the watch only occasionally. Very frustrating. Anyone else with this experience?

I had a terrible experience 15 years ago with a 5004P. 2 seriuos technical problems at the split!! 2 times to Geneva!! No money problems, PP repaired it twice free and Mr. Stern each time gifted me a PP book for excuses, but I waited 2 TIMES 2 YEARS!!! Pa...

for you encouraging responses. I really needed them now! I would like to ask those who did have this issue, whether it would happen again after the watch was fixed? Is that a problem with 324 movement that remains or it is just a quality control issue? I ...

I was only told that the watch needed complete service. It looks like this is the answer that most of us got when this happened. Someone here said he has the reason but never told me what it was.
Happy for you!

The people up at Henri Stern are very nice and I'm pleased to hear they are going to take care of the issue. Though we want and expect our timepieces to run perfectly from time to time there are issues with them.

PP uses a very fine oil but thin oil which tends to dry quicker than oils used by other brands. Regular wearing helps prevents sticking problems. These watches are meant to be worn, perhaps more so than others. Periodically putting the watch on a winder w...

Let me clarify here that my watch was only 1 month past the 2 year warranty so it was not really that old. Also, my AD ordered a brand new one for me when I got it (it was double sealed). Overwinding or under winding was not the issue here. The watch woul...
