Try this simple test then send it for repair...

 

After reading your comments that you wear the watch occasionally, I would suspect that this problem may be due to insufficient power held by the mainspring during the date change period. 


I suggest that you wind the watch, then force the date to move using the crown. It should settle to its proper location. 

Then wear the watch for the next 24-48 hrs to see what happens. 

If the date change problem happens again when the watch is fully wound, then I will send it to repair.
