This watch is THE most boring watch on the planet at the moment. The most posted watch on IG It is so over rated it’s unbelievable. At best it is average as a sports watch and that’s being kind. M.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion on each object or subject. To each their own.

I am so disappointed that this is where the market seems to be. At absolute best this watch is a very low rated sports watch. Made by Patek and hard to buy at retail. Other than that please enlighten me what is it??? M.

I got it because I love the case shape, case thinness and the blue shades on the dial. I can wear it with all outfit. Very versatile for me.

I tend to agree with both you and Miles 🙈 The 5711 has a sportiness about it. It has a certain design flair. But at the same time it is stunning to me that it gets the attention that it does. It’s a sporty watch but not a sports watch for me. Easy to wear... 

Since people hold polarizing views of it, it’s not a “boring” watch by any means. 😉

just because you cannot understand something, you define it as wrong. in this case you call it boring. it seems most clear that you have never understood the Nautilus reference. but rather than accept that YOU are missing something you instead argue that ...

Over the last 35 years of collecting I’ve forgotten more than you will know. I’ve handled hundreds of watches over these years. Yes at a time when knowledge and experience could only be gained by touching and handling watches not by sitting behind a scree...

... the stealthy nature of many references offered by the manufacturer. The 5711/1A is a perfect example of exactly this? Miles_151 is not new to the Patek forum and surely he gets this ... especially sporting a Salmon Perpetual Chrono ... so I'm thinking...
