For the record Guru.
Over the last 35 years of collecting I’ve forgotten more than you will know. I’ve handled hundreds of watches over these years. Yes at a time when knowledge and experience could only be gained by touching and handling watches not by sitting behind a screen becoming an expert.
I’ve been lucky to have owned every watch apart from a few that I’ve wanted to and the picture below represents approximately half the watches I’ve owned and handled as most were before the time of internet and digital technology.
I have helped dozens of new collectors over this time many which I am still in regular contact with. So my knowledge and intentions have never Been in question.
I have no need for an Ego as you suggest.
As I’ve said before let’s have a look at your collection and please enlighten us with your story over the last 30 years.

Sorry I will put my neck on the block here.
This watch is THE most boring watch on the planet at the moment. The most posted watch on IG It is so over rated it’s unbelievable. At best it is average as a sports watch and that’s being kind. M.

I am so disappointed that this is where the market seems to be. At absolute best this watch is a very low rated sports watch. Made by Patek and hard to buy at retail. Other than that please enlighten me what is it??? M.
I don’t consider it a sports watch myself.
I got it because I love the case shape, case thinness and the blue shades on the dial. I can wear it with all outfit. Very versatile for me.

I tend to agree with both you and Miles 🙈 The 5711 has a sportiness about it. It has a certain design flair. But at the same time it is stunning to me that it gets the attention that it does. It’s a sporty watch but not a sports watch for me. Easy to wear...

I too like the assymetrical case. Shape of watch, the porthole shape really makes it unique.
