.... If I have a choice, the use of platinum would make this iteration perfect. I wouldn't be surprised if this happens in the future.

A Short Review of the Patek Philippe 5327G Perpetual Calendar
By: Rhyzen : January 8th, 2023-08:40
I feel compelled to write a short review of my recently acquired Patek Philippe 5327G Perpetual Calendar, which has been an absolute joy on the wrist. Launched in 2016, the 5327 replaces the earlier 5140 (launched in 2006), itself the successor of the leg...

Yes. I know. 🙏

And this should stay this way also with the salmon dial.
Agreed!

Very good review

…and beautiful photos capturing this gorgeous royal blue! I fully agree with you, the applied Breguet numbers add to the charm of this reference. Congratulations to this masterpiece and the other watch is impressive as well
Thank you for your kind words!

The Breguet numerals did the trick for me. Was previously considering the 5140P, but this one won my heart.
Thank you for your kind words Patekova!

The varied elements of the watch, already attractive enough on their own, are pleasantly synergistic in this combination.
Congratulations 🍾

A PC and a PCC are both my dream, end game collection pieces to top of my collection journey. You have both and I envy you. I wish I can get both such complications someday. Enjoy them in the best of health 👍🏻
You are too kind my friend!
By: Rhyzen : January 8th, 2023-23:41
Your incredible collection shows that you are anything but clueless. My suspicion is that you are deliberately holding off "end game" pieces, precisely because you do not want the game to end. I really do look forward to the super complications you will u...
Thank you for your kind words Cayenne!

I absolutely agree that the white printing goes incredibly well with the royal blue dial, as most superbly demonstrated by your wristshot!
A very fine, emotional review full of passion, Rhyzen!

Thank you. I have to say, that this is my favorite non-chrono-PC of Patek. This blue dial… And you are right, these Breguet numbers are a fantastic solution for the larger dial space. Best Thomas
I wanted to like this…

…but the proportions don’t work for me. As much as I love the numerals, they were out there to hide (the admittedly great) small movement. Close, but the 3940 is still the king…
Excellent review

I am lucky enough to own this watch as well and agree with your excellent review. It’s a simply beautiful watch with an incredible movement that looks somehow both classic and contemporary. I love everything about the watch with the exception of how diffi...
I wholeheartedly agree with you JBen!

Mine is perpetually wound, and I am lucky enough not to have to set it again since acquisition. In terms of ease of setting, there are definitely other perpetual calendars in the market that are easier to set.
I love this reference
By: Miles_151 : January 8th, 2023-19:24
And the 5327r has been on my radar for a while. Love it’s proportions and case with the scalloped out lugs. For me the ivory dial and Breguet numerals just finish it off. A great continuation of the perpetual Calendar line. A seriously nice watch in my mi...
Do it Mike!

The ivory dial of the 5327R is beautiful rendered, and I look forward to many of your wristshots when it arrives!
Outstanding review that sets a high benchmark for similar endeavors
By: SchmidtSol : January 8th, 2023-19:27
I wanted to write a review in the style of "one year on the wrist" for this similar but slightly larger masterpiece. Your review sets up a high benchmark and is fun to read. However, I will try to finish my piece soon and post it, though I don't have a ca...

I very much look forward to your review for a different perspective! To be honest, the pictures in my review were taken with my phone camera, with the help of a clip-on macro lens for the close-up shots.
Thank you for that lovely short review!

I really like the 5140 and I sometimes want to own one. Although admittedly, I'd probably never have it set up correctly.
Thank you for reading Patrick!
By: Rhyzen : January 9th, 2023-15:42
I was seriously considering the 5140P-001 as well, given the same colour scheme and the lovely platinum.
Exquisite

I have the other two references in this family, 5227 and 5205, with similar curvaceous cases and scalloped lugs as the 5327. But this one, with that amazing blue dial, is unquestionably the ultimate version of the 3 siblings. Great pics and great watch!
Thank you MadSpaniard!

I would love to have the 5227 and the 5205, in particular the 5205G-013 with that spectacular dial.... I guess it's quite obvious that I'm partial to this colour combination.
