Yep, a beautiful piece that, alas, has never been very popular with collectors.
Regardless of when Patek's site is updated (sometimes it takes a while), the 5496 was officially announced as run-out at the beginning of the year, so its disappearance is unsurprising. Some ADs might still have it though, and it's also easy to source (at a very good price) with grey dealers given its relative unpopularity ;-)
Not an owner (I just have the 5396 as a calendar), but I had a chance to see it quite often, and indeed it looks pretty good ;-)

The 5496P honey brown dial is a stunner.
I tried it on some time ago and its proportions were great too. Really beautiful timepiece. But 5496 definitely wasn’t popular. The majority isn’t always right. 😉 Best, V.
