I feel the 5960 a bit sportier, with the much taller case and the brown strap. The dial layout and pushers also contribute to that feeling. But the main reason is how it wears on my wrist. It sits in a more casual way, difficult to explain. The 5110 is mu... 

With a wide range of complications ranging from world time, chrono, annual calendar, gmt.... Will be interested to know what will be your next target. Maybe a perpetual calendar?

Talking about Patek, I would like to add in the future a manual winding chronograph, being the 5170P and the 5170G-010 (black) the main contenders at the moment: ...  

The addition of a classic in-house column wheel chronograph plus the beloved breguet numerals will naturally expand your Patek portfolio to another level.

All perfectly wearable and complementary! Nautilus, Aquanaut, ACChrono, Wt... all different complications too. Superb!

Any time I have a piece that I start to not wear anymore, it’s usually time to part ways. Besides that, you have more than covered any gaps between the 5712 and the 5960! It really is a great group you have, and it sounds like we are thinking similar on f... 

So if something doesn't work, better to move on. The 5960 is a phenomenal timepiece, perfect combination of complications for everyday. And the 5170 is quite a watch, a bit pricey, but lovely. So far is just a long term project for me, but I would love to...

Only white metals a reason for that?

I tend to prefer white metals. As I said, I wear my watches daily and I feel more comfortable this way, I prefer to keep my watches more "under the radar". But I also like YG and RG for certain occasions, so don't discard it for the future 😉

The 5131P is an extraordinary watch, but having already a WT, I would prefer to add something different (speaking complications). I love manual winding chronographs, so more interested now in the 5170P. Although yesterday I tried on a RG Lange 1 Daymatic ...

I could not imagine any better four-piece watch family for a top-level, everyday use than these from the current/recent Patek offering. And equally important, every piece shows all the thought and the passion you've put into building this exclusive group!... 

And I really appreciate your advice Fab. To be honest, I have never considered one of those special dials so far, but I promise to have a look at the future releases. And it's true that once the daily basics are covered, you can start dreaming 😉

When I see a collection like this I always have a little bit of envy. I think a majority of us here could be very happy with 4 watches, and especially (but not necessarily) of the quality and range of your foursome. You do have all the bases covered for t... 

I've spent a lot of time trying to balance purposes, complications, metals, sizes, etc to end up with this foursome, which is almost perfect for my taste and needs. Lots of thoughts and tough decisions as well (and mistakes). But sometimes I do envy those... 

Thankfully I think the days of those real impulsive purchases are gone. It's just that I seem to like pretty much anything that's shiny and with that it's hard to have any real focus!
