I'll be the first one to admit that my heart can be fickle. However, the 5140P was always at the top of my wishlist. I didn't even know the 5146G existed until I came across it in a store in Tokyo.
Long story short - it's been a few months since I made the trade and while I do miss the 5146G a little, I don't regret the decision whatsoever.

too many (relatively) stories on a really rare watch that is not inhouse ay large but I feel is made with too many subcontractors.... At that level I'm expecting them to be mostly inhouse and flawless.

When you talk Patek, 5146P wins , And the 6000 is a ref I would avoid... You may look there for the 5107P as well, you may like it. Or, the now back to reality sub 50K prices of the 5960P
