The grey on the 5270 was very nice but the 2 portholes become too jarring

Personally, I would be very happy with the 5270 and I much prefer it over a Nautilus on a strap. At least there are two holes so that the dial is balanced. I think perpetual dials look worse where there is just one hole for the leap year indicator, like o...
