Personally I would not categorize this as a tool watch, but we all have different criteria for that. To me this is a sporty timepiece ideal for the modern well travelled man. Complication is perfect for the traveller. Rubber strap and water resistance great for travel that takes you to hotter and more humid locations. It does not mind if the owner decides to break a sweat either. Perhaps not a suit watch, there are better watches for that. But the modern man more often than not travels through life not wearing classical business wear. Personally I wear denim or cotton pants daily and mostly shoes with rubber soles. Then t-shirts mostly and at times a buttoned shirt. So for me, this is a perfect accessory.
In terms of size, I am very pleased they kept this same as the 5164 and not any larger. It works really well in this size I must say (without still having had the opportunity to handle one I must add)!

Like PP writes "Tourbillon" on the dial of several models and don't show them, I would have preferred a discrete mention such as "Advanced research". Nothing more

Actually, not visible reference to AR at all would be the greatest option. Only the wearer knows about the watch's internal qualities...
FYI: PP does not show tourbillons via open dials because
apparently UV affect lubricants. As the new adv res aquanaut innovative bit is lubricant free, it has motivated the open dial. Check out Wei Koh\'s interview of T. Stern on Revolution Watch. Best.
Well service costs and lengths differ significantly between a tourbillon and a "simple" skeleton.

I am more Nautilus than Aquanaut

I like it but won't own it. An Aquanaut for me is the watch I use st the beach or in the pool.
With this in G in restricts its function (to me). However for someone looking for a 5164R....this is the hot alternative!

Decisions are always easy for me. I need just a few seconds. But sometimes I go totally wrong!
However, with 5960 it is damn difficult to go wrong. Any version is simply stunning - it's just a matter of taste to rank them. Best, Kari

Indeed, the 5960 is a very different and very interesting reference: movement origin, complications, dial layout, decoration choices... so much to like. As you say, the ranking is difficult, even if I'm helped by the fact the P versions are a little heavy...
