One of the less loved new releases 2017 judging by most comments. Personally I found it very appealing from the first moment I saw it on pictures and read the technical details. I really like how an advanced research movement is being used in a sports wat...  

And I have never been a big fan of the larger sized Aquanauts, AND I dont believe in "tool watches" with complications. Yet: this one looks alright. Blue detailing picks up the blue hue of the case. Not sure about the asymetric dial. But I understand why ...

This one is probably appealing to the man who has already lots of PPs. So he might want something visibly different.

I think that this watch has everything from the current Aquanaut collection, added to a very nice blue colour combination that matches the white gold warmth very well. The Dual Time complication I detailled a little in my 5164R review is very well designe... 

Yes indeed not a watch meant to please every person, but do not think that was the intention either. I like how they are challenging the boundaries this way though!

I am more of a "complicated" guy, I like complications! not the personal stuff, though. I have the 5550 AR and I love it because of the "tech" and the design. I can easily buy a PP 5140 but I find the 5550 design to be perfect so I got one. With the 5650A... 

But nobody will be forced to buy it and it will likely not sit on the shelves very long at the dealers! Yes have expressed my interest to my AD... time will tell

With this in G in restricts its function (to me). However for someone looking for a 5164R....this is the hot alternative!

.....taste is massively subjective. What one person likes means absolutely nothing to an another. No right. No wrong. Just different. On this one...i actually like it. Its quirky. Different. Not necessarily on my wishlist, but i like it.

It echoes my feelings on this very well. Perfect travel partner. Gets you on time to every appointment due to its travel time function and amazing accuracy. Interesting conversation piece and amazing to admire during down time due to its adv res details. ...

For me this is a "must" and my 5650G will smile together with siblings 5540P and 5550P. But really, 5650G looks a bit weird when seeing the pictures. When looking at the opened part through to loupe and when handling the watch and its time zone setting me... 

But at the same time quietly hoping for modest interest as I hope to find a way to get one allocated my way...

I love it. I think if I was to buy an Aquanaut, it would be this one.

One more blue in your collection there surely can be room for!

I've see the 5960R middle grey dial yesterday, and it is gorgeous :p Now, I'm even considering 5975R next to the G... the decision is not easy. Best, Mark

Indeed, the 5960 is a very different and very interesting reference: movement origin, complications, dial layout, decoration choices... so much to like. As you say, the ranking is difficult, even if I'm helped by the fact the P versions are a little heavy...

In terms of the Moscow vs 5960P blue I really think both are quite stunning. However the P blue to me is a dial configuration they should have left for the original 5980/1A. It would somehow be cool if the blue dials would be left for the Moscow and recen...

.......same old problem for me....too many projects and not enough cash!

I have a big construction project going on. So this year just two new Patek and no new cars. Next year one grand complication. In a way I am lucky. I have already such a number of Patek that it is not easy to find new ones. A new watch should be very diff...

For two reasons: - aesthetically speaking: the open dial offers a view on something which is not very appealing... I have the feeling that the dial was bitten... - and in terms of spirit: why Patek chose this "demonstrative" approach? I understood that te...
