This is quite subjective a matter though.
If this is a dream watch for you and you have trouble finding one and you don't care about the 10K€ extra cost (roughly), then do what you like.
But, otherwise, this is far too much as we are not talking about a limited edition or an enamel work from the brand.
Some references are very hard to find in some parts of the world and much easier in others (we see this also with the 5235G).
The problem is that this reference is quite sought after, new, and the waiting lists are longer than ever.
it is not a question of "Patek wants to use a marketting trick bla bla bla", it is just that they wish to limit steel watches volumes in order to leave enough room for the gold ones. It is of course a question of image you want to give from a brand.
This is the same with a specific model: in this case, they don't want the Nautilus to represent 50% of the watches sold. It would be bad for the brand and I don't think that watch fans (being owner or not of a Nautilus) woul like that either.
Thus, the "new" in boutiques/AD are limited as the offer is lower than the demand.
On the other hand, it is easier to find a 2nd hand one.
Those two elements are not paradoxal.
So, I suggest as the other purists who replied to wait a better price.
However, I can tell you this is a watch that is worth the wait...
Cheers, Mark
