Patek Philippe

I saw this 5711 in a shop which specialises in pre-owned watches. This is unworn, complete and only a month old. The price: 47% above the Patek's list price! I guess that means there are actually people willing to pay the huge mark up. Would you? I person...  

ridiculous! Nautilus 5711 is a fantastic, yet a simple, watch and the retail price is high enough. I do not really believe on those 3 years waiting times. Just put your name to the list and call every now and then. I'm sure the watch will come faster. Bes...

Not sure where you are but if you put your name down at a few places I am fairly sure you can get it within a year. Put your name down, fire and forget The difference you save with a 47% markup you might as well put your name down for a Daytona-C as well

that's just ridiculous. I have issues with a 10% big, which is readily available but 47%??!! you have to be an idiot.

This is quite subjective a matter though. If this is a dream watch for you and you have trouble finding one and you don't care about the 10K€ extra cost (roughly), then do what you like. But, otherwise, this is far too much as we are not talking about a l... 

paying more and get it immediately. the wait is part of the fun. I waited for mine and it was worth the wait. If you deal with a good AD (where you have established a relationship) you might even get a great gift or dare I say a small discount

I am certainly not going to be paying for it at that price, someone else might. I still cannot believe the mark up. This is not a Patek AD, some independent shop. There must a be reason why it is 47% higher, people are probably paying for it. Absolute mad... 

... it is very rare and very hard to find, and it is in perfect condition. In the extreme case when I go crazy, I may be even willing to pay double the market price. But, for a watch still in production, no way 47% above the list price. I'll wait. Three y... 

Watch prices are already considered rather high at their current retail prices and i hate to think that there are shops like that profiteering that much on a watch. Juz put your name down at the authorized boutique and im sure your turn will come within a... 

I got one within 2 months in US when I wanted one! It\'s not a rare watch and it\'s available reasonably easily!!

You must be in the uk. That\'s far too much to pay. Call around a few ADs and I think you\'ll find one in 6 months.

I have been to them before and even then I didn't think much of them. This is beyond belief, the cheek of it...

Auctions at the reputable houses. There are always numerous PPs on offer, and though a premium and costs are involved it would never be on this absurd scale.

A very wise and may I say philosophical reply. I can't stop the seller from listing it at such a high price or someone else buying it but I can stop myself.
