Patek Philippe

This is nice to settle with a decision we know after a while it was the right one

That's also what I experienced with my own 5712.

I also have several references I think often about and I know I must pace myself and give some more time in order to check which one is good and which one is just a short time "crush".

What's nice about the forum is that people can push forward elements you didn't think of. Then you have enough material to process to take your decision after weeks or months.

When I say that I don't look at the fact I can have 2 watches for the price of one is not a way to say the price is not important. Of course it is, but it can be a good exercize to put this element aside for a while in order to focus on the watch itself: do we like it or not. Then, back to the price issue.

At least that's how I work. But you're totally right to mention that the price we pay is of highest importance as well.

Why I do is that way is because if I start from the price, I may end getting a watch I'm not totally convinced about, thus ending making a mistake. It is better to take nothing rather than taking the less expensive  that we may regret after wearing it for a month.

About the strap, I understand what you mean and I think this is indeed something quite difficult to make as it will need all the measurements of the lugs, the shape of the case etc... in order to make the strap fit. Not that easy to do.

I'm not sure the fact the pump stem being that far from the case is a problem. I think the good dimensions is the thing difficult to get.

It's in your hands!

Cheers, Mark
