The Collection matter
It is always tempting, though we might be wondering if another watch will not come on top of such a project in a way to diversify the collection.
I thought about how cool would be to get for instance the four 5070 or the 5110 etc... I'm sure people may like that and this is totally legitimate.
On the other hand, this is not my thing and there is always 1 or 2 that I don't feel I would wear. This is how I quite easily came to the conclusion that getting several of a nice reference is seducing but doesn't keep up with my everyday wearing habits.
So, if the blue or grey is something you think will look very good on your wrist in a way you will enjoy it regularly (may it be by wearing it or just admiring it in your watch box, depending on the way one practices his passion), then have a look at them.
But if you feel one will not be worn that often (because you already have many watches or because it is not the kind of colors you prefer best) then it might be a mistake and there may be better opportunities in the future.
So I would suggest you wear the /1A: checked!
And then you wear the Black Pt for a while.
If everything is ok after some time you will know if you want to get the Grey or if you're happy you didn't.

you need to take both shots with the same light and from the same distance.

i am being picky.....
.....the WB on the virtu is much colder....more blue. That is altering the feel of the shot. The Virtu has the verdict on clarity, but its not by a million miles. I also think that the autofocus on the iPhone can be tricky. Sometimes it just gets it wrong...

I've been trying to figure out
how you got such a clear and close-up shot with your iPhone 5. Did you shoot and then crop? Took a few shots with mine and it's not nearly as good as your shot. Any suggestions? Aloha, Bob
Tough call. In the end a credit to both phone cameras.

For phone cameras both are great shots of a wonderful watch.
I would suggest there is probably little to choose, taken in good light and viewed in this sort of forum view they will look great.
The trick is that

I call it a draw.
I used to love my Vertu... and then they switched to Android. So it comes down to which OS and hardware you like better. The photos to me are very very close. Besides, the upcoming iPhone might be much better.

The iPhone shot is out of focus, it's point of focus appears to be the left lug, and the dial itself is marginally out of focus. The Vertu is taken from a greater distance and is in focus so appears to be a better shot - but that's it it's a better shot, ...

What image sensor is in the Vertu?
As I am sure you know megapixels are nearly irrelevant now. iPhone 6 has an older image sensor but the 6s and SE have amazing ones. Vertu I believe is less than the 6 but I don\'t recall for sure. But you took a good picture irrespective!

How easy/difficult was it to replace the stainless steel bracelet with the leather band? Is that a Patek leather band? Thanks.
The strap was made by CF, same company delivering straps to PP
Replacing was semi-difficult but any Patek AD can help you with removing the bracelet. The trick is to order the right type of strap. Best, Kari

that you should know there is a groove in the case part between the lugs that will show up after the bracelet is removed. Thus you'll have to adapt the strap if you don't want to see it. Something you have to check whether it is ok or not for you. Cheers,...

The right way is to get both the steel & the platinum versions.
