Patek Philippe

There is another innocent possibility which I think is most likely what happened. I would be surprised if the watch had been unsealed by your AD,

meaning no one else wore the watch. Sometimes gold watches, which are a very soft metal can get an abrasion(s) from the plastic touching the watch, particularly if the watch moves a bit in the plastic or possibly if the sealed watch is handled, eg to show someone or for photography/inventory purposes, etc. 5976G is a heavy gold bracelet watch which can increase the possibility of a minor abrasion(s). So, I think it most likely your AD has not done anything untoward. That said, if the abrasions bother you I am confident Patek will take care of the issue by making the case perfect. If so, probably best that it is shipped back to you, packaged in a way to avoid a possible repeat of the issue. I hope everything works out for you and look forward to hearing how the issue is resolved.

In the meantime and most important congratulations on acquiring this highly desired and special watch!!

Best,
patekova
