That's a tough one...
The duometre is a high-class work of art, but I understand your point about not wearing it (I've had the same issue in the past with watches that I perceived as big/top-heavy for me).
One thought is to put the duometre away for one month. If you don't think about it, then you likely won't miss it when it's gone. I've done this in the past before selling.
The 5396 would be a good consideration.

I have a 5205
It wears beautifully, probably one of my smallest watches. I find it wears like my daytona 116518. You won't go wrong. That being said , I think the duo is a little more visually interesting. Good luck!

Have you considered the Patek 3940 Perpetual Calendar? At 36mm it might be a perfect fit. There are usually an abundant supply of excellent examples in the secondary market.
