Attended a minute repeater event by PP few years ago and heard the sound of several MRs. The watchmaker told us rose gold indeed has a better and louder sound, due to the lower density of rose gold, which is the best metal for sound transmission. While platinum has a higher density, therefore the sound is slightly lower in volume, but still crispy. Cheers, Henry
