I always also synchronising my watches with my smartphone, it is a good way to set the punctual time.
I have tried to wait until my Patek stopped, but I couldn't wait so long! The watch was still running and when I set the time with the crown counter-clockwise, the second-hand was totally stopped moving - I hope it didn't cause a problem for the movement. Than I could easily set the time, I have had only to wait until the time was exactly the same, as shown in the dial: then a little forward move with the crown, and the second hand goes further!

sorry, I have referred on the hacking seconds mechanism. Thank you for your correction! But I have found a solution: if I set the hand of the hours backwards, you can stop the second hand also for a while. I hope it won't cause a damage on the movement!

Beautiful watch.
You have figured out the trick for setting a Patek that does not have a hacking second hand. It will not hurt the watch. I have been doing this for years on all my Pateks. It is fine; I have double checked with Patek and they agree. Please keep us updated...

Regarding the clasp, it does come in for some criticism. However I think it's a little unfair. It's functional, adds no bulk to the bracelet and is reliable. I personally would not change it. Enjoy your new watch!

Well, the solution is solid and safe, but I find it still too uncomfortable. It would be much better if the deployant clasp had two pushers on the side of the clasp.
