you are referring to a hacking or stop seconds function. Very few Pateks have this feature.

sorry, I have referred on the hacking seconds mechanism. Thank you for your correction! But I have found a solution: if I set the hand of the hours backwards, you can stop the second hand also for a while. I hope it won't cause a damage on the movement!

You have figured out the trick for setting a Patek that does not have a hacking second hand. It will not hurt the watch. I have been doing this for years on all my Pateks. It is fine; I have double checked with Patek and they agree. Please keep us updated...

My wrist is tiny. The only watch that fits me is he calatrava 37mm and even this one was a bit too big..so I will wait until they do a flat 36 mm with blue dial ideally hehe At the moment only one that I managed to wear without being too big are the 36 da...

If the watch hasn't been worn and needs to be set: I check the exact time on my smartphone. When the second hand on the smart phone is a second or two behind the position of the second hand on the 5711 I start winding. With the first wind the second hand ... 

I always also synchronising my watches with my smartphone, it is a good way to set the punctual time. I have tried to wait until my Patek stopped, but I couldn't wait so long! The watch was still running and when I set the time with the crown counter-cloc... 

I need more pictures of the beautiful piece. There are never too many pictures of these beauties. Wear it in the best of health. Rest assured you are setting the watch perfectly fine. I guess Patekova does the same with his Pateks.

Regarding the clasp, it does come in for some criticism. However I think it's a little unfair. It's functional, adds no bulk to the bracelet and is reliable. I personally would not change it. Enjoy your new watch!

Well, the solution is solid and safe, but I find it still too uncomfortable. It would be much better if the deployant clasp had two pushers on the side of the clasp.
