Great watch. I bought my first 5070G in 2002, hard to believe it has been 17 years. I recall at that time the Patek dealer gave me a 25% discount! I just fitted it with a new Cordura Nylon strap. ...  

... but too large. Would have been even better in a smaller case.

I do have a smaller wrist so it looks bigger than it is. I recall when the 5070 came out it was not popular because of the case size. In the late 90's early 2000's it was considered huge for a Patek. I personally prefer a 39-40mm case size...

Very cool strap! Is it custom and are you using the deployant clasp or a buckle?

I had thought for long this watch was not for me because of the large case vs my chicken’s wrist but actually when wearing it was a spectacular though not show of and quite comfortable watch. In the meantime I had to let go most of my manual wound watches...
