I think I still prefer the dial as it is.

Yes, the Roman numerals make it busier, but I find them exquisite and appreciate the fact that they're not swapped.

Yes the moon phase circle is incomplete, but it allows the Roman VI to be the same size as the other numerals.

And yes there is no writing at 6 o'clock but it makes the dial cleaner imo.

Either it's just a matter of personal taste, or I am blinded by the beauty of the photos or by the fact that this specific configuration (pt, Roman, no automatic) is ultra-rare (only 14 examples among which one belonged to the grandson of Henry Graves). Or maybe it's a mix of the three!

In any case, thank you for sharing your thoughts. It makes me imagine all the discussions that must have taken place over the years among the designers tasked with proposing improvements or modifications to the dial.
