New watch on the wrist!
Oct 17, 2020,06:28 AM
Just last week I got this 5109r on the wrist. A somewhat overlooked reference it seems...
It has taken me some years to get used to the idea of wearing red or yellow gold watches. It is also my first square watch, but 2020 calls for different measures!
The watch measures 30*43mm and is only 6mm thick. The dial is the best part of the watch with a grainy red gold texture and beautiful applied breguet numerals and curved dark brown hands.
It has a wonderful art deco vibe!
It's powered by the manuel 215 PS, so not much need for a sapphire caseback. It works well though...

Yes, it works great with denim and casual wear.
Great find!

Great find you got there! I always liked the 5109, and hope Patek one day will make something similar again.
Hmm, yes I am not sure either.

The certificate says about the dial: "Cristal rose breguets or noir". I read that as rose gold with black gold breguet numerals. Not sure what Cristal means? Perhaps it's bronze? The white gold version has a silver dial (argent)
