Patek Philippe

With the ref. 5712 left as the only (gent's) Nautilus that was not launched with a white dial this year at Basel World, I can't help considering if this ref. is on its way out of the collection. And IF it is leaving the production lines of Patek Philippe ... 

I think the 5712 is one of their best selling watches and it isn't going anywhere. 5726 sales haven't been to great and they are giving it an update to boost sales. Two of my AD have the watch in stock for over a year now and can't move it. The 5712 can't... 

It is possibly a sign that orders have been canceled due to the recent increases. Same with Roxe's Daytona: I saw at a ,different to my Patek AD already, twice a Daytona in steel in the window. But it is not the only Patek that is not going anywhere: 5170... 

you will see more and more variants of the entire Nautilus line, as Patek tries to do what AP has done with RO. We are seeing this already. Not less, not discontinuation, MORE and MORE.

...but it will be a nice to see additional variations if it comes to fruition. I also don't think it's going anywhere.

And will probably replace the 5712 as the former is "more complete" though bulkier.

It's an interesting complication with the 3/4 rotor movement, and an attractive asymmetric dial. The 5726 OTOH uses a PP workhorse movement, and aesthetically the dial looks like Clarence the Cross-Eyed Lion. It's a shame they couldn't have moved the mont... 

Received a mail today claiming the 5712 is the most popular of the Nautilus offered. Makes me only happy to actual own it. Hail to the Nautilus. Here are the show off pix of my small, but growing collection of PP Nautilus (Nautili?)....  

I love the 5712. Only wished it were waterproof. The 60M water resistance is worrisome and if I owned one I wouldn't dare to even swim/shower, or even submerge the watch when cleaning it. Considering you already have one, I wouldn't care less or more if t...
