very hard to get and break your bank kind of watches. Great example is the Speedmaster Trilogy. I'm sure this 3417 will also go crazy with the crowd, like the 300pcs limited Geneva boutique SS Calatrava. For a modern guy like me, who are lazy to hunt, unf...

It’s a lucrative business for those unethical “makers” who can pull it off. Maybe Patek, not just vintage Patek, with its records and archives, makes it harder to reproduce than Rolex where you cannot see or hard to judge even from the movements. Anyway, ...

...as for me I would still go for the vintage one. I know a welldone reedition is quite respectable (think of the JLC Geophysic...) but what I like in these ones is the charm of a piece that has a history and that has a soul ! Maybe I should evolve and co...

Make no mistake . I would most likely try and get one of it was relaunched but I have reservations 1. It would not be similar to the original- size, dial configuration 2. It would not be the original- above and also the movement 3. I am a Purist ( purist)...  

Similarly, a re-edition would not have the authenticity that ticks the boxes for me. Having said that, I would see it as a fun Watch and one that would get a lot of wrist time as such.

only when in steel and a bigger size it will get attention 37mm gold and there will be overstock pretty fast 41-42 mm steel and it will be popular and will have a big waiting list

I am also not too hung-up about watch size. For me, anything between 35-42 feels fine. On a time only steel, I would be delighted at 38-40mm.

Would definitely be acceptable But I’m pretty sure it would sell much better in a 41 or 42 than in a 38 mm case
