Annual calendars have to be set 1 time per year. It takes 0.5 minutes. That means per 525,600 minutes, you have to spend 0.5 of them setting the piece as opposed to 0.0.

Annual calendars have excellent readability for the most part, unlike the 5140. I dont know anyone who would honestly say the 5140 is easier to read than the 5205.

So it depends on what you value. I know PLENTY of collectors who sold of perpetuals and bought an annual and pocketed a HUGE amount of money as a result.

That is what is great about watches - we all have opinions on what we like. The OP clearly is like me and likes annual calendars a lot.

I would go with the 5960 personally. Love both the complications here and the heft of platinum is special.
