I could envision Patek delaying the release of the steel 5811 for a year or so while they upsell the gold version. But it's a sports watch after all, so a steel version is inevitable. Hopefully they use the time to upgrade the bracelet from pin & sleeve.

A bracelet with a quick release mechanism and perhaps even some rubber strap options would be nice.

True independents are doing so much more, but PP being predictable is good for business. Did PP finally provide a proper five-year warranty with the gold models?

Besides, the 5712/1A is still available in steel. Which is my personal favorite model amongst all the Nautilus models.
I think it make sense for revenue…

They can gain a way higher margin on the 5811 since it's gold. They justify a huge price increase with precious metal, which won't bother the actual buyers of the watch, whom are not going to mind spending so much, because if they are in the position of b...
