I am a bit lost here?
Are we saying the 5522 has a blue dial because it's a launch for USA? Actually DXB was black on the 5130 and Mecca was green (not all the Middle East)....I think a coloured dial may fundamentally be in conflict in what is intended to be a knock off of a pilot watch

What about green for all other countries?
It's already a a quite simple dial, if you make the dial black, it could be much too boring for a sporty watch. I'd be much more interested in a non-limited steel 5976 anyway.

5522 is not a real pilot watch, only the PP interpretation of. Maybe Zenith ;-)) My 2 cents, Patrickh
Not sure how it’s a knock off, given that Zenith introduced the Type 20 Pilot 40mm at Baselworld 2013.
It's arguable that Patek took inspiration from Zenith and made a more refined version of the Type 20 GMT Pilot, along with adding the date. www.watchprosite.com

My opinion isn’t an opinion, it’s a statement of fact. Zenith introduced the Extra Special Type 20 Pilot version at Baselworld 2014, which brought with it a central seconds hand and an ETA 2892 movement. The bronze version in 2015 saw the movement revert ...

For a matte moss green dial version.... or a matte deep beige nearly taupe dial version... both would be in spirit of the brown vintage leather jacket and khaki clad desert pilot... but ideally not too many versions please!
