I'm not a dealer and don't really know how things work, ... but I talked to a cloisonné artist in NYC and she told me she makes about 3-4 dials in the course of a YEAR! So the release of the /1p-001, for instance, had to be planned well in advance in order to have a reasonable amount of product available for the obvious demand that would exist the minute pictures hit the website. 5131's are application pieces so there will be far fewer watches than dealers wanting to sell them ... and the dealers that get cloisonné pieces in their allocation probably have a pretty reasonable pipeline of clients who they can depend on buying and never selling these coveted pieces?
