Great taste
To say that the 3940 is anything but a classic would be ludicrous. But I agree with you, the 5146 has its charm. I also bought it because it gracefully made the transition to modernity in design (size, font, arabic numerals, lumen hands) and of course for the moon phase. I genuinely enjoy it and will keep it for a long while.

These watches, you can never say that anyone dominates another one. One day you like model A, next day you like model B. Makes this hobby more costly, I guess But also, it makes life more enjoyable!
