To say that the 3940 is anything but a classic would be ludicrous. But I agree with you, the 5146 has its charm. I also bought it because it gracefully made the transition to modernity in design (size, font, arabic numerals, lumen hands) and of course for... 

These watches, you can never say that anyone dominates another one. One day you like model A, next day you like model B. Makes this hobby more costly, I guess But also, it makes life more enjoyable!

I can imagine wearing it daily. The combo you have kind of make them an exit collection

One day you like it slim and light (3940), the other day you like it more sporty and heavy. Perfect combination of two most important PP classics!

good move to enhance and diversify your collection IMO. Both are similar and yet very different. Going forward, it will be interesting to see if you decide to go deeper into PCs and/or ARs or diversify into others (such as regulators, sports, etc.). Pleas...
