...I am not sold on white gold as I'd prefer steel or platinum. I have always been a fan of yellow gold and would be happy with that choice (softness and all). On dress watches I like the 'heft' of platinum and the stealth factor is an added bonus to me.
My next step will be to locate a 5172g to try on for size. If it fits as well as I think it will (I have tried on the 5270P and it was fantastic) then maybe I'll just get on a waiting list for when/if the J or P version appears.
The alternative is to locate a 5170p...the diamonds are not my normal style but they look very low-key in photos.
