At the same time Patek is sometimes a little bit unpredictable. I have asked this year some things one would expect to get a negative reply but I have against all odds received a positive reply. So asking is costing nothing but at the same time it's not clever to push the limits.
We also have to remember that Patek did not want to make 5960/1A a watch with normal strap. I am sure that such a watch would eat the sales of 5905P because the price difference between these two references is clearly over € 20k. That's pretty much for a small piece of platinum.
This fact also suggests to me that 5960/1A will not be a reference which will live long.

But to achieve perfection, often requires some efforts. You might remember that some weeks ago I placed a strap to my 5960/1A and converted it to 5960/1. However, I used a conventional strap with straight ends which did not take into account the distance ...

It's a non-brainer.
When the watch is costing around 45k, why not to sacrifice some 0.5k to get two perfect straps. It just takes some time & efforts. Best, Kari

These custom made straps are much better a fit indeed. The extended curved end will cover the extra gap and change the annoying 'after market' look! Congratulations!
