After and trying on anything and everything when it comes to ACs and PCs the battle was between these two.. the 5205 is great and art deco'ish but i've never been too keen on the bezel and the concave case the winner, the 5146G creme dial, a more classic ...  

Of course, I prefer the other one since I own one... but your made a great choice! You couldn't be wrong with any of them... Fx

I just tried one at an AD in Las Vegas last week. Everything in this watch is perfect... except the price which out of reach for me at this stage! (I wish I could have jump on it and grab it for me). Since my recently acquired 5110P I can't stop dreaming ...

....understand this decision. I have tried this one on a few times.....I love the cream dial. Also agree that for the smaller wrist, 39mm is a perfect size. Congratulations.......

through and i kept coming back to it. by going a light dial i hope i have future-proofed it for when my eyes are old and useless!

But looking at the amount of pictures you took for one vs the other, It is clear you prefer the 5146. I think you cant go wrong with either of them. As for me, I have seen many 5146 to say that they are very balance and have a classic layout so they are n... 

The 5205g is a winner - it can be for more formal suits with the lighter dial or for smart casual with the dark dial. The concave bezel is a clever way of avoiding hairline scratches when donning a long sleeve shirts. The dial in the middle allows one to ... 

I have the same and received many compliments. Though I recognise that the 5205g is a contender, somehow it does not sit very well on some wrists. As they say, there is a patek for everyone, and yours is just meant for you. Enjoy !

As you know I have had the honour of owning both pieces. I know how hard your decision making has been but, imo, I believe that you have made the right decision. Now it is just a matter of waiting for that email.

what reference ? It has one more complication than the 5146. It's an (AP + leap year) = perpetual calendar + 24 hour indicator - power reserve complication.

and because I happen to like cal. 240 and blue dials, it's quite nice when I feel like taking the perpetual to my wrist. Best, Kari ...  

Beautiful pieces. All different in style. I see a "petite complication", a world timer and a grande complication. The 5140 can be considered a grand complication piece ? Is it in LE ? Love the dial. Shimmering satin blue. Alluring, sexy and sophisticated.... 

Ref. 3712 was produced just less than a year from 2005-2006. Ref. 5131G is a regular production piece but not the most common reference around and 5140P is a Grand Complication and the production numbers are not huge. These three watches cover nicely most... 

What makes this watch nice is the rere Golden Ellipse folding clasp This is the WG version making it quite rare. Best, Kari ...
