Exactly. To be perfectly frank about things....

Journe is treating the watch collecting community like fools and not just with made up trinkets like the Resonance and others like the Centigraphe that have simply "made up" functionality. Journe is, beyond a shadow of a doubt, lying about what these watches can do to collectors. Forget that watches tend to only exist for 20 or iterations before the movements are changed (due their high failure rate, and that's whole other issue I have with them) for a moment and consider that at this price point you are getting an entirely machine finished movement and stamped dials - there is no real guilloche work going on at Journe. Their dials are made the same way a Seiko Cocktail Time is made!
Listen to their minute repeater then listen to, quite literally, any other repeater on the market. The difference, and just how terrible the Journe sounds, is startling. You would have to either be deaf or drunk on Kool-aid to buy one.
Also consider that F.P Journe was plucked out of a group of watch makers by a group of heavy hitters in the industry to be "made". He is, and I say this without any reservation, the Brittney Spears of watch making. His brand a complete fabrication with no backing of real quality or skill. Please also recognize that I am speaking about the brand, not the person: he may be a good watch maker, but he isn't acting as a watch maker in his company but as a CEO. The watches carrying his brand are an insult to collectors.
But when I say stuff like the legion of "investors" come out of the wood works, pitch forks in toe. People get upset when you attack their wealth...
