Don't know how nor when it happened, but I have been keen lately on a Patek 5396, please talk me out of it....
At first I was eye balling the 5396R-015 with its stunning blue dial and diamond markers. Recently I grew fond of the 5396/1R with its lovely brown dial rose gold bracelet combo. Both can be bought cheaper then a Nautilus 5711 and both are so true Patek DNA with a lovely annual calendar. But the question remains...do I need it? Stupid question I know. So please talk me out of it.

Since you ask, I’ll tell you my opinion which i am not sure is relevant as there is no right or wrong here... - I have always loved this dial design. This is why I had bought the 5125 Wempe several years ago way before these versions of 5396 exist. I then...
