I'd get the 39mm Dato (have been tempted by it recently).
Platinum case, gorgeous design, date, superior movement and display back, incredible feedback from winding stem and action on pushers and then to kill it off, great pricing on pre-owned 39 mm Datos out there.
Yes, the 5170 G black dial is stunning with the breguett numbers on dial, but just doesn't add up to the factors mentioned above.

I would lean towards the Patek because of the same reasons.
If now you were comparing the Dato first generation with the Patek, I would have said Lange! But to each his own, it is up to you to decide since you are the one to pay. ;) Best, Nicolas
